Lauren Daneman

Associate, Family & Litigation

Lauren’s interest for family law began during her studies at the University of Ottawa. Her interest grew into a passion during her articles, where she gained experience with both trial and motions advocacy.

Since joining Friedmans Lauren has represented clients in a variety of family legal matters, including high conflict custody and access disputes and complex matrimonial property issues. As well, Lauren advises clients on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and assists with wills and estate planning after separation. Lauren has further experience with interjurisdictional support enforcement and access concerns as well as child protection matters.

Lauren believes that alternative dispute resolution helps clients to move forward in a cost effective and efficient way, and strives to settle disputes outside of litigation wherever possible. She also appreciates that some matters require court intervention, and has experience in all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Lauren understands that navigating the realm of family law can be an emotional and confusing journey. Her holistic approach allows her to meaningfully engage with clients, offering support and stability during trying times.
